Fishing

Known as the best red-breasted sunfish river in Georgia, the Satilla also boasts fishable populations of bluegill, pickerel, largemouth bass, crappie, and numerous catfish including yellow, brown, and snail bullheads and channel catfish.  All are great for pan frying once you reach the lodge.

Fishing months:

February- Crappie

March-April- Red-breasted Sunfish, Largemouth Bass

May- Bluegill

We suggest you bring a canoe or portable john boat but you can also launch at the 252 bridge and motor to May Bluff.
