The Lodge

May Bluff, built in 1932 in the vertical log tradition, sits atop a 30 foot bluff overlooking the Satilla River.  Groups of up to 20 guests may rent the house by the night, week, or month February through May.  The flexible five bunkroom, three bathroom layout is perfect for a stopover on a canoe or kayaking trip, as a destination for a family getaway, a cycling or birding club weekend, or a business retreat.  The lodge is rustic but it has all the basics – electricity, hot water, and flushing toilets.  All the bathrooms have been remodeled since 2010.

There is a large kitchen with two refrigerators and two stoves and seating for 20 in both the dining room and meeting room.  We have several recommended cooks and caterers if you wish to leave the meal preparation to someone else.

Nearby Spring festivals include the Crawfish Festival in Woodbine the last weekend in April.
